Atsumi & Sakai established its Food & Agriculture Practice Group in 2017, led since its inception by partner Yasuhiro Usui. Yasuhiro served as Head of Legal (Japan) at Syngenta Japan K.K. as a secondee, where he gained extensive experience in the agri-business and seed sectors. In addition to his core practice in investment and cross-border transactions, he regularly advises agricultural cooperatives, food manufacturers, trading companies and related industry organizations on regulatory compliance, governance, and strategic partnerships.
