Omar Cesana

Omar Cesana practises food law and advises Italian and international clients on a wide range of issues in this field, including food safety, labelling, nutrition and health claims, food and beverage advertising, and all other related regulatory aspects. He also provides legal assistance on key matters relating to intellectual property, advertising law and new technologies, including e-commerce, personal data processing and big data management.
He graduated from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 2008 and completed a postgraduate course in intellectual property law in 2014. He has been admitted to the Italian Bar since 2011.
Omar Cesana is one of the principal authors of “Il Diritto Alimentare” published by Wolters Kluwer, and the author of numerous publications on intellectual property and food law.
He is a member of FLN – Food Lawyers’ Network Worldwide. Since 2016, he has been listed in The Legal 500 in the Food category and, in 2025, he received the “Leading Associate” award.
